One of our favorite seasons is finally here! At Waku, we love autumn. Because even though the weather starts to get chilly, there's still some warmth to it. And even though you can't see the springs’ green colors, they shift to an even more vibrant and beautiful palette! Depending on your location, you will now most likely see all shades of yellow, red, brown and orange. Now, isn't that lovely? We find it inspiring! That is why, we’ve gathered a list of activities and fall related ideas for you to do this time of the year. Visit a Farmers' Market
Though it may seem like a summer activity, there's no shortage of delicious fresh produce at your local farmers' market in the fall. Look for gourds of all kinds to add to your seasonal decor. Farmers’ markets rotate out produce seasonally. This means you can find unique and tasty picks in the fall to add to your roasts and desserts.
Take a Scenic Train Ride
The best way to see the changing leaves? On a fall foliage train ride, of course! There’s nothing more magical than steaming through the gorgeous autumn landscape. Especially from the comfort of a train where you can just sit back, relax and take in the view.
Attend a Fall Festival
If you're looking for the ultimate fall experience, there's no better place to celebrate the season than your local fall or harvest festival. Take in the autumn scenery, hang out with the scarecrows and don't forget to pick out a pumpkin to take home!
Go Apple and Pumpkin Picking
Visit your favorite farm and spend a day with loved ones gathering delicious apples and trying out the wine and donuts they offer. Have fun picking out the best pumpkin to carve later on and take a couple insta-worthy photos while you’re at it! The best part is that you'll be able to take home some fresh apples to make delicious, fall-worthy recipes.
Have a Backyard Bonfire
For a cozy night full of fun, gather 'round the fire to warm up, swap ghost stories, and spend some quality time with family and friends. Whether you get shrieks of delight or fear, a good time is sure to be had by all. Don't forget the cozy blankets and yummy s'mores!
Have a Fall Photoshoot
There's no denying that autumn is the most aesthetic season of all — which means you should definitely take full advantage of the beautiful scenery with some great fall photos with the family.
Decorate your Porch for Halloween
Try an easy Halloween DIY to make your home look inviting. Or, if you're not into the holiday, simply lean into a pumpkin motif. Change things up a bit and update your entry so that it feels warm and cozy from the outside in.
Have a Horror Movie Marathon

Prepare yourself a seasonal plate like pumpkin or apple pie and set up everything to watch your favorite old or new halloween movies and scary thrillers. There's no better way to kick-start fall than with a warm bowl of chili — but it's even greater if you're hosting a fun chili cook-off with your friends and family. Everybody has a chili recipe they swear by. Put yours to the test by hosting friends for a rollicking chili cook-off. Grade entries on things like presentation, smell, creativity, and—of course—best tasting.
Go for a Hike
