This 2022 ditch your crazy diet and follow these 7 tips for a healthy lifestyle

The new year is around the corner and as we all know, every new year comes with new year's resolutions; resolutions that we typically never see the light of day. Some resolutions don't ever get accomplished because they are too crazy, too unrealistic, too drastic and unhealthy.

Sometimes, people tend to go overboard with some crazy diets to fulfill one of the most popular resolutions: to lose weight. So, if any of this resonates with you, then let's change this dynamic and start by ditching any unhealthy, unrealistic diet you have in mind for this 2022.

Instead, write down a resolution that can actually stick longer than 1 month, like this one: “I will have a more balanced and healthy lifestyle”. This resolution will be much more beneficial for your health and it will bring you even more satisfaction, just follow 7 tips and you will increase your energy and live a happier, healthier, more productive life this 2022.

1. Eat nourishing, real food

We all know that wholesome food is the key for well-being and we all know that we are what we eat. So try incorporating a balanced diet high in fruits and vegetables, lean protein, low-fat dairy and whole grains is what you need for optimal energy and a healthy lifestyle. According to the Mayo Clinic, we must make sure to eat “fresh or frozen fruits and vegetables, especially nutrient-dense dark, leafy greens and broccoli, as well as orange vegetables, including carrots and sweet potatoes”.

And definitely avoid foods that are processed or refined flours, sugars, oils; that typically rules out most packaged foods.

2. Sleep should be your new best friend

Want a healthy lifestyle this 2022? Start sleeping. Yes, that's right. Healthy sleep patterns are essential for optimum energy, immunity, cognitive ability, and physical strength. Also, good sleep helps to slow the aging process and reduce risk of illness. Remember, try and get at least seven hours of shut-eye each night.

3. Keep your loved ones close

This is extremely important to keep a healthy and balanced life. Connecting with others who radiate positivity and have similar interests will excite you and keep you at your best. Don't get around with people that only drain your energy, be very mindful of the people you select to spend your time with.

4. Move your body regularly

Exercise relieves stress and tension, strengthens muscles and boosts endurance, which helps your body to work efficiently. So move every day, in any and every way you like. Go for a walk, a run, a hike, do yoga, lift weights, the sky's the limit. Any type of movement will help you feel good right away.

5. Drink a bottle of Waku a day

We can't stress this enough: a bottle of Waku a day keeps the doctor away. With our gut-healing, super herb blend your digestive system will be working smoothly meaning your immune system will be intact, your skin will glow and you'll keep any bad bacteria away from you. Feed your gut bacteria and you'll have a healthy 2022.

7. Practice positive thoughts

Maintaining a compassionate mindset is another way to conserve energy and decrease those stress levels in our bodies. Stress can be the root for many health problems, so don't take this advice lightly. Try to make eye contact with a stranger and smile, while thinking "I wish you well." This positive act works as an internal dialogue for ourselves. Remember that we are what we think. To feel your best, train yourself to think your best. So, learn to see challenges as opportunities, try to change the way you talk to yourself, practice forgiveness and understanding and recognize and redirect unhealthy thought patterns. They will only affect your health.

8. Take vitamin D if you’re deficient

GO out and get some sun. Sun can make you happy in a heartbeat and most people do not get enough vitamin D. While having vitamin D inadequacies are not imminently harmful, “maintaining adequate vitamin D levels can help to optimize your health by improving bone strength, reducing symptoms of depression, strengthening your immune system, and lowering your risk for cancer.”

If you do not spend a lot of time in the sunlight, or you live somewhere where the sun does not go out as much, have your levels tested, so that you can correct your levels through vitamin D supplementation if necessary.

So, remember to ditch any unhealthy method you want to implement this year in order to lose weight, have radiant skin, and reduce the signs of aging and just follow these outstanding tips.

In search of a healthy 2022? Well now you know what to do.
