At Waku, you know we reach for stars when it comes to gut greatness. We go crazy for foods high in prebiotics and probiotics like kimchi, yogurt, and our daily dose of fruits and vegetables. But what if we could go beyond the gut-friendly staples? What if we could create a whole new category of gut-healthy recipes, inspired by our very own time-tested flavors? We give you the Waku Cookbook -- a short blog dedicated to the creative and innovative ways members of our own Waku Tribe have come up with!

 

DRINKS (non-alcoholic):

 

Rose Spritzer:

  • 1/2 lemon juiced
  • 3-4 frozen raspberries
  • Ice
  • Raspberry rose Waku
  • Soda water 

 

Add lemon juice and frozen raspberries to a glass and swirl around, add ice, Waku, and soda water.


Enjoy!

 

 

Spa refresher:

  • Sliced cucumber
  • Sliced strawberries
  • Sliced lemon
  • Sliced lime
  • Lemon-mint Waku
  • Ice 

 

Add all ingredients to the glass and enjoy!

 

Ginger lemongrass "margarita":

  • 1 lime Juiced
  • 1 oz Seedlip citrus blend 
  • Ginger lemongrass Waku
  • Ice
  • Spicy salt to rim glass (I made mine with cayenne, salt, and chili powder)

 

Rim glass with spicy salt and set aside, add all the ingredients to a shaker , shake and strain into rimmed glass with fresh ice. If you don't have a shaker you can juice and pour ingredients over ice straight into the glass also.

 

DRINKS (alcoholic):

 

Waku G&T:

  • 1.5 shots of gin of choice
  • 2 teaspoons of fresh blueberries
  • Half a glass of Waku’s Ginger Lemongrass
  • Ice

 

 

FOOD

Thai Jungle Curry:

Saute in a pan with ghee:

 

  • 1 cup spinach + basil
  • 1.5 cup steamed green beans
  • 2 cups - Celery, onions, green pepper

 

Turn heat off and pour in:

 

  • 1/2 bottle Waku’s Passionfruit
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1/2 cup light coconut milk
  • Add cumin, paprika, black pepper, sea salt to taste

 

Serve with seafood or eat as is warm!
